Introduction to Cyanotype Printing: (Sun Printing)

Cyanotype is a very exciting method of producing individual prints. 

Come along to a workshop where you will learn :-

​

• A little of the history of Cyanotype printing

• How to select and prepare materials for the substrate

• Mixing chemicals ( All very safe materials used in a safe manner)

• Preparing the surface prior to printing. You will take home an item you have prepared to print once dry

• What you can use to design your print (your imagination being the only limitation)

• Exposure timings

• Developing your print

• Mounting your amazing design(s)

​You do not need any prior knowledge or artistic flair to produce some amazing designs, in fact the less inhibited the more exciting the prints can evolve.

​

You will take home a number of prints one mounted and an item either a tote bag, pencil/make up case depending upon availability 

​

All materials and equipment required will be provided in the workshop.
